Eigentlich ein sehr triviales Problem: ich brauchte einen Montageständer für mein Moulton AM. Die meisten Ständer kommen mit einem Klemmmechanismus daher, der für das Moulton praktisch nur eingeschränkt brauchbar ist.
A very simple problem to solve this time. I was looking for a perfect repair stand for my Moulton AM. I don't want something that clamp the Moulton. The force applied to the clamps could damage the seatpost and they are not very comfortable to work with.
Eine wirklich gute Lösung habe ich bei Tacx gefunden - der Montageständer nennt sich Cyclespider Team und mit einer Mini-Modifikation passt er dem Moulton wie angegossen. Der Ständer ist wirklich super stabil (Pedale wechseln, Tretlager... kein Problem) und lässt sich klein verstauen. Die Kosten liegen bei rund 120 Euro.
I found a perfect solution from Tacx - the repair stand is named Cyclespider Team and with a small modification it works perfect with the Moulton. The repair stand has a high quality and even heavy-duty work can be done problem free. You can disassamble the repair stand within a minute. The price is around 120 Euros.
Die kleine Modifikation wird nur dann notwendig, wenn am Moulton Schutzbleche montiert sind. Wenn das Tretlager aufliegt, stoßen die Schutzbleche auf der Querstrebe des Trägers an.
Die Lösung ist einfach ein kleiner Kork-Block (Schleifkork) den ich unter das Tretlager lege. Ich muss den Block nicht einmal festmachen - einfach das Tretlager auflegen, vorne einspannen und das Moulton steht fest und sicher im Ständer.
You need my little modification only if you have mudgards mounted on you Moulton. The front mudgard will touch the horizontal bar of the repair stand.
The solution is a small block (8cm high) of cork (get it in a DIY shop). I place this block under the bottom bracket of the Moulton - you don't need to fix the block - simply put the Moulton on it and fix the front wheel. That's all.
